Privacy Policy
Finsight Alpha · Effective date: 15 March 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Finsight Alpha (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles personal information when you use our website and services, including AI-assisted company investment reports, saved reports, and related features.
1. Who we are
Finsight Alpha operates the service available at our website (for example finsightalpha.com or the domain we publish). For privacy requests, contact: steve@libertypoint.io.
2. Information we collect
2.1 You provide
- Account data: email address, name (if you provide it), password hash, and profile details you choose to add.
- OAuth: if you sign in with Google or another provider, we receive identifiers and basic profile information according to that provider’s consent screen.
- Report inputs: tickers, company names, or URLs you submit to generate reports.
- Saved reports: report content and metadata you choose to store in your account.
- Payment data (if applicable): billing details are processed by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe); we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
2.2 Automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Usage data: pages viewed, actions taken, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies: as described in our Cookie Policy.
2.3 Mobile app data
- App and device data: app version, operating system, device model, and diagnostic signals (such as crash logs) used to operate and improve the mobile app.
- Authentication tokens: secure sign-in/session tokens stored on device using platform-provided secure storage where available.
- Permissions: we request only permissions needed to provide app features. If a permission is not granted, related features may not work.
3. How we use information
- Provide, secure, and improve the service (including authentication, saved reports, and report generation).
- Process AI and third-party data requests needed to build reports.
- Communicate about your account, security, or legal requirements.
- Monitor and improve reliability and security using technical and operational data tied to providing the service.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (providing the service you request); legitimate interests (security and product improvement that does not involve cross-app or cross-website tracking via cookies); consent (where required, for example certain emails); and legal obligation where required.
5. Sharing and processors
We use trusted service providers (“processors”) who host infrastructure, send email, process payments, or provide AI and financial data. They may only use data on our instructions. Examples include cloud hosting, OpenAI (or similar) for text generation, financial data APIs, and authentication providers. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
If you access our Services through an app store distribution channel (such as Apple App Store or Google Play), those platforms may process limited technical or transaction data under their own privacy terms.
6. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses).
7. Retention
We keep account and report data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for backups, disputes, and legal obligations. Usage logs may be retained for shorter periods. You may delete saved reports where the product allows it.
Where account deletion is available in-app, you can request deletion from within the app/account settings flow. You may also request deletion by emailing steve@libertypoint.io. We may retain limited records where required by law (for example, tax/accounting or fraud-prevention records).
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability. For how we use cookies, see our Cookie Policy. To exercise rights, email steve@libertypoint.io. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
Account deletion: if you created an account, you can request deletion in app settings (where available) or by contacting us at the address above.
9. Security
We implement technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk. See our Security Policy for a high-level overview. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
10. App-store disclosures
For Apple App Store and Google Play, we provide privacy disclosures in their required formats (such as App Privacy and Data safety forms). Those disclosures summarize current data practices for the app build submitted to each store.
11. Children
The service is not directed at children under 16 (or the age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect their personal data.
12. Changes
We may update this policy; the new effective date will be shown at the top. Continued use after changes may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
13. Business customers
If you use Finsight Alpha on behalf of an organisation, our Data Processing Agreement may apply to personal data we process on your instructions.
