Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Finsight Alpha’s website, applications, and services (“Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the Services.
1. The Services
Finsight Alpha provides tools to generate and view AI-assisted company investment reports, financial narratives, metrics visualisations, and related content. Features may change over time. Some features may require registration or a paid plan if we introduce billing.
2. Not financial advice
Content is for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on the Services is investment, legal, or tax advice. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. Past performance and model outputs do not guarantee future results. Consult a qualified professional before acting.
3. Eligibility and account
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You agree that registration information is accurate and that you will keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at steve@libertypoint.io of unauthorised use.
4. Acceptable use
- No unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity; no attempt to probe, disrupt, or overload our systems.
- No scraping, automated access, or redistribution of the Services or outputs at scale without permission.
- No infringement of others’ rights or violation of third-party terms (including data providers).
- No use of the Services to build a competing product by systematically extracting our prompts, UI, or proprietary workflows.
5. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Services, branding, software, and underlying materials. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for your personal or internal business research. Report outputs generated for you may be used in line with these Terms; we do not claim ownership of your underlying business decisions.
6. Third-party data and AI
Reports may rely on third-party data and AI models. We do not warrant completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of third-party or generated content. Your use may be subject to additional provider terms where disclosed.
7. Fees and payment (when offered)
If we offer paid plans, fees, taxes, and billing cycles will be presented at purchase. Subscriptions may renew until cancelled. Refunds and cancellations are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Payment processing may be handled by Stripe or another processor under their terms.
Report generation allowances. Plan-included report generations are credited per billing period (for example, each subscription period shown in your account, or each calendar month for the free Basic tier). Unused included generations do not carry forward to a later period. Optional prepaid report credits purchased as bundles are tracked separately, are consumed after your plan allowance for the period is used, and expire as stated at purchase (typically twelve months from the date of purchase).
Fair usage (plans described as unlimited). Some subscription plans state that plan-included report generations are “unlimited” or are subject to a fair usage policy. For those plans, unlimited means volume that is reasonable for personal use or ordinary internal business research, consistent with the intended use of the Services. We may review aggregate or account-level usage. If we reasonably believe use is excessive or harmful—such as volumes or patterns that risk degrading the Services for others, strain our or third-party infrastructure, reflect automated or systematic misuse, resale or redistribution of access, or breach of the Acceptable use rules above—we may contact you, apply technical limits, suspend access, or require a different plan (for example Enterprise). Nothing in this paragraph limits our other rights under these Terms.
App-store billing. If you subscribe or purchase through Apple App Store or Google Play, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund processing may be handled by that store under its terms and policies. You manage those subscriptions through your Apple/Google account settings.
8. Mobile app and app-store terms
If you use our iOS or Android app, you also agree to the terms of the app store from which you downloaded it. The store is not responsible for maintenance or support of the app unless required by law.
- Apple-specific: this licence is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own/control, as permitted by Apple’s Media Services Terms and applicable usage rules.
- Third-party beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the app licence terms and may enforce them against you.
- Google Play: your use of apps downloaded from Google Play is subject to Google Play Terms of Service and policies.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICES IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THAT PERIOD OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights by your content or conduct.
12. Suspension, termination, and account deletion
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, risk to security, or legal requirements. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive will survive termination.
Where account deletion is available in app or web settings, you may request deletion there. You may also request deletion by contacting steve@libertypoint.io, subject to legal retention obligations.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy describe how we handle personal data.
14. Changes
We may modify these Terms. We will post the updated Terms and update the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice. Continued use after changes may constitute acceptance.
15. Governing law
Unless mandatory consumer rules in your country say otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Finsight Alpha’s operating entity is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive venue, subject to non-waivable rights you may have.
